How to validate an idea without overthinking it

Validation is not a presentation. It is a small question asked to a real person before you spend weeks building the answer.

01

Start with the person, not the logo

Write down who already feels the problem. Not everyone. One specific group whose day would genuinely improve if your idea worked.

02

Make the test small enough to happen today

Choose one action that takes less than two hours: a conversation, a sample, a landing page, or a simple offer. The goal is not certainty. The goal is a useful signal.

03

Let the response change the idea

A good first test gives you language, objections, and a sharper next question. That is progress, even when the original version needs to change.
